Former Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Emma Jones has tragically died at the age of 32 following a battle with cancer.
The singer stunned the judges with her perfect performance of the opera classic Ave Maria when she appeared on the talent show in 2015 at just 23 years old.
However, Emma, who was from Wigton in Cumbria, sadly passed away in February this year after a post on her Facebook page shared the heartbreaking news.
It said: “I’m sorry to have to tell you that Emma Jones has died.” He died on Valentine’s Day after being diagnosed with multiple organ cancer.
“The doctor believes it started as ovarian cancer and spread to other organs.”

Emma’s former partner John Hastings told the News and Star he would miss her “personality, smile and beautiful voice”.
“As a person, she was charming, everyone wanted to be with her,” he recalled.
John also shared how Emma became an instant local celebrity in Carlisle after her TV appearance and one night everyone wanted a selfie with her, including music group Collabro when they met at the Carlisle Christmas festival in 2015.
During Emma’s funeral at Allonby’s Christ Church, John said in his eulogy: “Like everyone else in Cumbria, I was proud and moved by her exploits on Britain’s Got Talent, when she overcame her nerves to wow the judges and viewers; The applause made her cry, but she knew they were good tears.
“It is a great shame that we will never see her again, but we still have her performances online to cherish and remember fondly.”
Others shared their condolences after hearing the news, writing: ‘Rest in heavenly peace, Emma. “He leads the angels in the choir and I wish we could all hear that angelic beauty…there’s not enough of you in your earthly life.”
‘I had just re-watched his audition for BGT. Her rendition of the Ave Maria was so pure and beautiful. She was a gentle soul with an amazing gift. What a tragic loss. She rests with the angels, beautiful girl.
‘It is very sad to hear of her recent passing, having seen her BGT audition today for the first time and her beautiful voice moved me to tears. Rest in peace.’

During Emma’s audition The star faltered as background music echoed through the packed theater before singing her rich moments, much to the audience’s surprise.
Simon Cowell smiled widely as he watched the performance and stood alongside Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden to give her a standing ovation.
Emma looked on in disbelief as she watched the theater audience applaud and cheer her on after her passionate performance.
“You must be confident, Emma, you have a fantastic voice,” David stated. “Very few of us can sing like that and you should go out and sing like a winner, because that’s what you are.”
Simon added: ‘I really like you. Actually, I’m going to change that: I love you.”
