Britain’s Got Talent viewers were unimpressed by Danny Platinum’s audition during Saturday’s show, calling it a “set up”.
The 29-year-old was first to perform and took to the London Palladium stage before suddenly deciding to come out and perform his freestyle on the red carpet outside the iconic theatre.
Despite his quick decision, eagle-eyed onlookers noticed that cameras and microphones were at the ready and Danny didn’t have to miss a beat as he raced towards the London street.

Other viewers wrote: ‘First act of the night and not the first nor the least prepared of this show. ‘Britain’s Got No Talent’ would be a better title’: ‘Then don’t prepare too much’: ‘well, this isn’t a setup’: ‘”Let’s take it outside” As if it’s random’.

He wandered through the audience before going out onto the street.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the episode, judge Simon Cowell, 64, was left unimpressed by Italian comedy Umberto and Damiano.
The duo, who are famous faces in their home country, took to the stage with a comedy sketch based on Disney’s Frozen, after performing the exact same thing on Italia’s Got Talent in 2022.
While one dressed as the snow queen, Elsa, the other performed hysterical “special effects” with the help of a fire extinguisher and blue Ikea bags.
Amanda Holden, 52, Alesha Dixon, 45, and Bruno Tonioli, 68, were left baffled, but music mogul Simon sat with his hands crossed staring at the stage.
The double act hosts their own radio show in Italy and has a whopping 172,000 followers on Instagram.
It comes after a report. They claim that more than half of this year’s Golden Buzzer acts, who have already reached the semi-finals, are not from the UK.
The judges along with hosts Ant & Dec were given the opportunity during the auditions to send two contestants each directly to the semi-finals.
And according Sunone TV insider said: “People know that the show often features foreign acts; some of them are absolutely brilliant and in many cases win the contest.”
Despite his quick decision, eagle-eyed onlookers noticed that cameras and microphones were at the ready and Danny didn’t have to miss a beat as he raced towards the London street.
But while the fans were furious, the judges were delighted and Danny made it to the next round with four yeses.
On X, formerly Twitter, one lamented: “Carefully produced and set to within an inch of its life.”
“But it is a surprise to think that the cream of the crop that are sent with gold stamps often come from other countries.”
And last week viewers threatened to call Ofcom after three acts from Japan auditioned for the show.
Disgruntled fans admitted they believed the show should be for Brits because of its name and wanted to take the issue to the UK television regulator.
Viewers were not very impressed when the show’s judge Simon gave his Gold Buzzer to Cyberagent Legit, a professional Japanese dance artist.

During last night’s audition, a beatboxing group called Sarukani, a drone operator named Keiichiro Tani, and then the dance group Cyberagent Legit performed.
And while there are no restrictions on the origin of an act, viewers have formed their own opinions and flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts.
One of them wrote: ‘Did ITV receive a group booking for a flight from Japan? Or does Japan have talent?
‘Can Ofcom see this as the Trade Descriptions Act?! A very misleading name for a television show!’
Britain’s Got Talent continues on ITV and ITVX on Saturday at 7.30pm
