She spends most of her time living in the UK, but Kylie Minogue showed she still considers Australia home during the 2024 Brit Awards on Saturday night.
The 55-year-old music icon, who won the BRITs Global Icon award, surprised her fans by agreeing to take part in the Australian ritual of drinking alcohol from a shoe during the awards ceremony in London.
Host Roman Kemp convinced Kylie to drink his signature rosé wine in high heels during an interview with the pop star at his table, saying it would be “wrong” for the couple not to “follow an Australian tradition.”
‘So Kylie Minogue will make fun of me at the Brits? If I order your shoe, can I do it? Kemp, she asked.
Kylie seemed hesitant at first, asking the crowd, “Do I do this?” before Kemp offered her a pair of black stilettos and filled them with alcohol. d

Proving she’s a good sport, the All The Lovers hitmaker clashed her stilettos with the host and downed the entire shoe in one gulp.
Later in the night, Kylie closed the show with an energetic medley of her most famous hits and was rightly dubbed a “legend” by viewers after she last performed at the ceremony in 2008.
She looked sensational as she flaunted her age-defying figure in a skimpy white bodysuit that featured sheer panels.

Kylie arrived on stage in an oversized red coat before taking it off to show off her sexy ensemble which she wore with knee-high black boots.
He sang songs from his back catalog while famous faces in the audience could be seen singing and dancing.
The evening ended with Dua Lipa presenting Kylie with the Global Icon Award, giving way to the Australian pop star’s final performance.
