The AFL premiership celebrations in Brisbane continued for the third day in a row, with Lions stars wearing fun costumes for their Mad Monday festivities.

The victory party continued on Monday after their grand final victory over the Swans, with the players celebrating at a central Brisbane pub in West End.

Harris Andrews showed up early in a strange outfit that made it look like he was being carried around by an alien.

The Lions co-captain brought the premiership trophy and walked out with grand final hero Cam Rayner, who was dressed like an evil nun after achieving the most spectacular mark of the day against Sydney.

Jaspa Fletcher appeared smiling in a frog jumpsuit, while Carter Michael and Henry Smith arrived in blue and white striped pajamas as the famous Australian children’s television characters B1 and B2.

Will McLachlan and Noah Answerth arrived dressed as cartoon duo Rick and Morty, while Luke Lloyd and Reece Torrent arrived as Super Mario Bros.

Co-captain Lachie Neale arrived on site as himself and, notably, was not wearing the moon boot he was wearing on Sunday to help him recover from a serious heel injury.

Neale said he heard a pop in his foot during the decider and was worried he had torn his plantar fascia, leaving him facing a long recovery process.

Midfielder Josh Dunkley told the media he had been partying since Sunday.

“You can’t beat it, it’s an incredible feeling,” he told Herald of the sun.

“Over the last few nights I’ve probably slept six hours.”

Zac Bailey appeared as Spider-Man, while Tom Doedee appeared in a red Christmas dress.

“This is a concerning amount of cameras for my appearance,” Doedee said.

Joe Daniher rocked a skirt and denim jacket as rumors continued to circulate about his possible imminent retirement, while Brandon Starcevich arrived as Breaking Bad’s Walter White.

The team returned to Brisbane on Sunday afternoon and were greeted by thousands of happy fans at the Brighton Homes Arena.

On Sunday, the team attended the Melbourne Lions family day at Brunswick St Oval in Fitzroy.

Neale described finally becoming a premiership winner as being “a lot better” than he thought.

“You always imagine that moment and think it’s going to be amazing,” he said.

‘Words really can’t describe how amazing the last (time period) has been since that last siren.

“I can’t really say what the best moment of my life was, otherwise my wife would kill me, but very close.”

The club’s visit to the spiritual home of Fitzroy Football Club was in stark contrast to that 12 months earlier, when spirits were low following a heartbreaking four-point defeat to Collingwood in the grand final.
