Two high-profile NRL players are being investigated over an alleged altercation with fans while in Bali for their end-of-season holiday.

Just a day after the Brisbane Broncos sacked coach Kevin Walters, the NRL club faces another unwanted distraction after missing out on the 2024 finals.

Broncos 2023 grand final superstars Reece Walsh and Ezra Mama are being investigated by the NRL’s integrity unit after the alleged late-night incident in Bali.

A fan has officially lodged complaints with the NRL and the Brisbane Broncos over the players’ alleged behavior after they asked for a selfie.

Brisbane Broncos’ Ezra Mam and Reece Walsh are being investigated by the NRL over an alleged incident at a Bali nightclub.

Walsh was allegedly posing for the photo when Mom intervened. The phone involved has since disappeared.

News Corp reported that the complaint centered on the mobile device breaking and that players then paid for a replacement phone.

The two Broncos players posted images on Instagram two days earlier, with Walsh raising a glass of red wine and captioning the image: “Just a little peace of mind.”

The players were also photographed together at an NBA game in the United States ahead of the first game of the 2024 season in Las Vegas.

It comes just a day after Queensland State of Origin coach Billy Slater approached Walsh.

“He’s not perfect and sometimes we expect our young stars to be perfect too soon,” Slater said on his Channel 9 podcast.

“But he’s only 22 and you have to go back to 22 and say, ‘How many rough spots did I have?’

‘He will develop and grow as a person and as a player.

“We should be grateful that guys like Reece want to be part of our game because they bring everything to our game.

It also comes after Walsh was arrested for possession of cocaine on September 26, 2021 in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

Following his arrest, he was charged with possession of a prohibited substance and faced prosecution.

The NRL handed him a two-match suspension and a $5,000 fine as part of his punishment. Additionally, Walsh was required to undergo drug and alcohol counseling and perform community service.
