Brigitte Macron shows off her wedding ring and her sense of style as she attends a film festival

Brigitte Macron stole the show at a French film festival today when she showed off her dazzling diamond wedding ring.

Brigitte, 68, put on a stylish display when she attended the 14th French-language Angoulême Film Festival in southwestern France today.

She wore jeans with an immaculate off-white blazer and white shirt, all eyes on her rock as she sent air kisses to her fans and hid a lock of her blond hair behind her ears.

The French First Lady, who is 24 years older than her husband, and Emmanuel Macron tied the knot in 2007, after they first met when he was 15.

Brigitte, who arrived with a staff of several bodyguards, was all smiles at today’s event and donned one of her signature casual chic attire.

The first lady opted for an immaculate off-white blazer, which she paired with jeans and a white shirt, and a Nike sneaker with a black lining.

Her handbag, also white with a black lining, matched the ensemble perfectly, as did the discreet black belt around her waist.

Leaving nothing to chance, Brigitte held on to a white face mask as she strolled about the event.

Her blonde locks were styled in her ear-length perpetual blonde bob, and she wore minimal makeup, with just a hint of black eyeliner bringing out the accents of the ocean in her blue eyes.

While sporting a smart casual look, Brigitte could count on her sparkly wedding ring and a luxury watch to add some glamor to her outfit.

Her pavé wedding ring is set with striking diamonds and was presented to Brigitte by her husband at their 2007 wedding in Le Touquet, northern France.

French magazines have also revealed that Brigitte always wears two wedding rings: the fist is her own and the second is her sister’s ring.

The first lady’s sister died in a car accident when she was only eight years old, and Brigitte has been wearing her ring ever since, so that her sister’s memory has accompanied her every day.

Meanwhile, eagle-eyed fans of the French president have noticed that he also wears two wedding rings, one on the right hand and the other on the traditional wedding finger.

When asked by a French journalist, the French head of state explained that the two rings belonged to the same woman. Femme Actuelle reported.

One of the rings was presented to Macron by Brigitte when he was still a student.

In the book Emmanuel Macron: Such a Perfect Young Man by journalist Anna Fulda, Brigitte explains: ‘I offered it to him when he left for Nigeria. [during his superior studies]. It was the first time we had been separated for this long, six months.
