Brighton secures Danny Welbeck’s signing on a free transfer following the striker’s departure from Watford
Brighton has contracted Danny Welbeck for a free transfer, with the attacker putting a one-year contract on paper.
Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Welbeck was a free agent following his departure from Watford, where his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Brighton manager Graham Potter said official website of the club: ‘We are delighted that Danny is joining us. It will complement our existing standout options.
“He has an undisputed pedigree, and he’s fast and technically very good. He will increase our attacking threat and we are excited to add another player of his experience and quality. ‘
Welbeck, who has played 42 caps for England, played twenty times for Watford last season, scoring three goals.
