Matt O’Riley is close to a move from Celtic to Brighton after the two clubs agreed a £25million deal.
The subject of a series of failed bids from Italian side Atalanta throughout the summer, the 23-year-old’s exit is now set to be sealed, making him the Seagulls’ newest midfielder.
There will be no add-ons included in the deal, Mail Sport understands, but £25m is close to the figure Celtic had been demanding.
The Denmark international is expected to miss Celtic’s game against St Mirren on Sunday as the move is finalised.
Brendan Rodgers will also have to look at replacing O’Riley with LAFC’s Mateusz Bogusz, who is said to be available for around £8m.

O’Riley graduated from Fulham’s academy and then moved to MK Dons.
Celtic signed him for a modest £1.5m in January 2022 under manager Ange Postecoglou. He won three Scottish Premier League titles and several more cups, all while becoming a Denmark international.
