Bright orange ‘UFO orbs’ were allegedly captured flying over New York City, sparking concern among Big Apple residents over the holiday week.
On Friday, Reddit user @YogurtclosetFlat5701 posted the video to ‘The UFOs Subreddit’, a UFO discussion forum where people can talk about sightings, experiences, news and research.
The location recorded the video on Brookville Blvd in Queens, New York, right next to JFK airport.
“We looked up and there were 4 orange orbs in formation in what is supposed to be a no-fly zone and then they started to disappear,” the user wrote.
In the video, four non-blinking orange orbs are suspended in the air, forming a striking boomerang shape.
One video was taken from inside the user’s car and another from outside the user’s car.
‘They moved strangely, as if they weren’t completely stationary and then they started to disappear one by one. The penultimate one veered off and then disappeared. They maintained that formation as long as the sighting lasted,’ said the user.
Local users in the New York City area confirmed the traveler’s sightings. One, who uses the username @ZoraOctavia, said he has lived near the airport for more than a decade and knows the difference between a plane and a UFO.
‘I lived here 14 years with planes flying all day, every day. They fly so low it feels like you can almost touch them. I know what they look like when they land and take off. I’ve never seen anything like this. Never,’ said the user.
