Bridgerton bosses have gone all out for its highly-anticipated fourth season by recreating one of the show’s biggest highlights in a studio in west London.
In previous years, the show has filmed scenes at famous locations such as the iconic Royal Crescent in Bath, but for its new episodes, it has created a huge model of the landmark at Shepperton Studios in Surrey.
Sources have also claimed that the use of sets is expected to make filming much easier as it eliminates logistical issues such as closing key production locations.
The use of sets is also expected to attract more A-list stars to join the cast, with bosses reportedly providing the same financial backing as for their big-budget period drama The Crown.

For its new episodes, a huge model of the landmark (left) has been built at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, with the crescent moon (right) a fixture from the show’s first three seasons.
Last week, Netflix confirmed that production was underway on the fourth season of Bridgerton, which will focus on the romantic adventures of the second son, Benedict.
‘The fact that they spent millions on the new set suggests there will be many more seasons of the Netflix drama to come as well.
“It’s a similar commitment to the one the platform had when it made The Crown, where iconic landmarks like Downing Street and Buckingham Palace were built. And that Netflix period drama ran for six seasons.”
Aerial images of the new set show how a life-size replica of the famous Royal Crescent has been erected, which will be used as a backdrop to the Featherington residence in the series.
The new set also features Madame Delacroix’s shop, as well as other streets and buildings that will be familiar to fans.
Last week, Netflix confirmed that production on Bridgerton season 4 is underway, with the news that Emma Naomi (Alice Mondrich) and Hugh Sachs (Brimsley) will be part of the main cast for this season.
The new series will focus on the second Bridgerton son, Benedict (Luke Thompson) and his quest to find the fascinating Silver Lady, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
Sophie has been forced to spend much of her life working as a maid for the most demanding employer in high society.
But the resourceful maid always finds a way to persevere despite her circumstances—circumstances that will change drastically after she dresses up to attend Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball.

Yerin is a Korean actress from Australia and revealed her The character Sophie Baek was given a Korean surname out of respect for the actresses’ culture.

Speaking about the decision, she shared: ‘A name is the first piece of identity you share with the world, and that’s why changing a name can be so powerful.
“To have Sophie’s name fit someone who looks like me is really empowering. All credit goes to Jess Brownell, our showrunner.
“It’s a really nice way to feel like the role is right for me, rather than having to fit into a certain mold. It’s amazing what it can do in a psychological sense. So it means a lot that Jess has done that for me.”
After being promised the “most gripping season yet,” Bridgerton fans were left somewhat disappointed by the lack of Regency shenanigans in the first part of season three.
However, the show’s directors have more than delivered with the second part of the period drama, with episode five of the series featuring a six-minute-long sex scene.
Announcing the news, Netflix released a trailer showing Sophie checking out costumes for the ball.
Yerin landed her breakthrough role as Kwan Ha in the sci-fi series Halo two years ago.
Before taking on the lead role this season, Luke said of his character: “Benedict has always been a little lost, or free, depending on how you want to look at it. But now he’s trying to find something a little more solid within himself.”
Creator Shonda Rhymes added: “He’s a lovely man who’s trying to find his way. He’s very charming and funny. I’m excited for everyone to see it.”
Netflix also released a short video when the announcement of Luke accepting Benedict’s prominent future was shared.
She is shown opening a door and receiving a costume to wear to a masquerade ball, a hint as to where her journey will begin in the series.
It has not yet been revealed when production on the fourth season will begin.
