Bride-to-be Brittany Hockley has revealed a major faux pas with her wedding invitations for her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Benjamin Siegrist.
The Bachelor star, 37, got engaged to the Swiss soccer player, 32, in June, and a few words about the dress code were lost in translation for the couple’s international guests.
Brittany said there was a funny miscommunication about her “no thongs” instruction at the wedding.
Speaking on her Life Uncut podcast, she explained that the dos and don’ts of her clothing were pretty standard, but her choice of words was confusing to some.
“Ben and I sent out the save-the-date invitations and he was like, ‘Honey, I’ve been getting these random messages, people keep asking me about the dress code,'” she told co-host Laura Byrne.
After Brittany explained that Ben had received “four or five” messages from foreign guests about the dress code, the penny finally dropped after a friend of Ben’s also questioned the “no thongs” rule.
‘She said to me: ‘How strict is he? What if it doesn’t match my dress?” Brittany recalled.
“And then she says, ‘Well, I don’t understand how she’s going to know if I use it,’ and he said, ‘She’s going to see it.’

The lack of communication irritated the friend who called Brittany’s dress code request “perverted” after Ben explained that his girlfriend could see the offending items quite clearly that day.
‘Ben said, “They’ll be on your feet for her to see” and she said, “A thong is a thong” and he said, “Oh my God, there’s a language.” barrier here.”‘
Most Australians call flip-flops thongs, which are not typically worn at weddings.

However, in Europe and much of the rest of the world, a thong is a skimpy women’s undergarment.
“Ben calls me and says, ‘Honey, half the wedding thinks you said they’re not allowed to wear thongs.’
“Strict enforcement, full reporting or nothing.”
Brittany also recently confessed on her podcast that she felt “disgusting” upon discovering that her future husband likes to eat cottage cheese in a tub.
“Last night I got another attack from Ben,” he began.
“He always sits with his tub of yogurt when we FaceTime, but this time it was a little thick,” Brittany explained.
“I asked him what he was eating and he said it was cottage cheese.”
Brittany said Benjamin told her he “just discovered it, he loves it and buys them in bulk.”
Brittany announced her engagement to Benjamin in June and shared the happy news on her Instagram account.
“He ate it raw, out of the tub… I just think it’s disgusting,” he confessed.
Her co-host Laura added: “I’m not surprised, though.” Elite athletes eat the weirdest shit. I’m not as offended as you.
