A bride has gone viral for revealing a ‘genius’ trick to prevent her wedding dress from being ruined at her wedding reception.
Influencer and comedian Hannah Brown tied the knot in a strapless lace gown by bridal designer La Premiere in Los Angeles last month.
After saying ‘I do’ to her new husband Jake, the happy couple let loose with Italian food at their reception dinner, which was held at Carondelet House.
To prevent their expensive wedding attire from being damaged by spilled food or spilled wine, Hannah and her groom wore clear plastic raincoats while dining.
Sharing a clip from the reception to your tiktok accountwrote Hannah: “This is your cue to get American Psycho raincoats for your wedding dinner so you can enjoy the food without worrying about ruining your dress.”

Speaking to DailyMail.com about her decision to wear a raincoat at her wedding, Hannah explained that it all stemmed from her and her husband Jake’s love of Italian cuisine.
‘Jake and I knew we wanted the meat option for our wedding dinner to be spaghetti and meatballs. “We are both obsessed with Italian food and the entire vibe of the night was inspired by one of our favorite Italian places in Los Angeles, Pace,” she shared.

‘That said, I’m extremely lazy. I could literally be sitting in a chair with my hands crossed and find a way to put something on my shirt, so raincoats seemed like the only way to make sure I could enjoy dinner without the stress of ruining my dress. ‘
She added: “Jake really eats clean, but he wore one on me in solidarity!”
The blushing bride admitted she was initially hesitant to wear the protective gear for fear it would ruin the stylish vibes of her big day.
“I was a little hesitant to wear them because I was so excited to look and feel fancy for once in my life, but then I remembered how much I love to eat with reckless abandon, so we did it,” she laughed.
“However, I forgot to take off my raincoat for my father’s heartfelt speech, so it served the dual purpose of catching my tears.”
After sharing the moment on TikTok and Instagram, Hannah was inundated with comments praising her for her clever idea.
“This is so epic,” one follower wrote, while a second added: “Best idea ever!”
“All the cool girls out there will be wondering how they too can pull off this look,” wrote another.

A week earlier, Hannah shared a heartwarming post about her fairytale nuptials.
“I married my favorite person surrounded by our favorite people a month ago,” she wrote.
‘Thank you to our friends, family and our amazing team for making this the best day of our lives!’
Speaking to DailyMail.com, Hannah admitted that she initially didn’t expect to love her wedding dress as much as she did.
“It was the last thing I thought about wearing and it even came with a belt that I didn’t like, but the manager at Lovely Bride Chicago insisted I try it on and once we got rid of the belt, I instantly fell in love.” she gushed.
“I felt like Stefani Germanotta if I were Italian royalty. “I loved how timeless and elegant it looked, with the structured fabric combined with the detailed cord lace,” she continued.
Referencing her raincoat, Hannah added: “So naturally I couldn’t let the spaghetti at my wedding ruin it!”
