A bride and groom have been criticized for giving their wedding guests an “unreasonable” list of 15 rules to follow.

The demands, which were originally circulated among friends and family, were recently shared on Reddit’s popular Wedding Shaming thread along with a caption that read, “If someone sent me this, I just wouldn’t go.”

The rules included that guests had to remember that their opinion was “irrelevant” while also prohibiting attendees from “sitting all night” or making their own important announcements.

Readers were incredulous and took to the comments section to criticize the soon-to-be newlyweds, but what do you think?

The demands, which were originally circulated among friends and family, were recently shared on Reddit’s popular Wedding Shaming thread.

The post, which was shared last month, showed a black and gold booklet that listed all of the couple’s “wedding rules,” numbered one to 15.

The first urged the guests to remember that this was the couple’s big day, ‘not yours.’

He continued: ‘Don’t get in the photographer’s way.

‘The outfit is BLACK and/or GOLD, not red, blue, green and definitely NOT WHITE!

‘Don’t rearrange the seats, we have a seating chart for a reason.

‘If you didn’t put up money for the wedding, keep your “shoulda, coulda, woulda” to yourself. Your opinion is irrelevant.’

But the couple didn’t stop there, as they also urged guests to pace themselves when drinking and forbade them.”big announcements or proposals.’

It then said: “If you can’t stand or don’t like the music that’s playing, just go home.” This is a celebration, not a funeral.

“This is a ‘1999 and 2000 replacement’ type event, so there will be twerking.”

The lovebirds then instructed their friends and family to use their own personalized hashtag when posting photos on social media.

To complete the demands, the last five said: “Don’t sit down all night.”

‘It is prohibited to drink alcohol from outside. If you are caught, you will be escorted out.

‘Go back to rule number one.

‘The bride and groom said what they said!

‘Go ALL the way up!’

And the post was soon inundated with comments, with many insisting the couple had gone too far.

One person wrote: ‘What kind of list is this? Too chaotic for me.’

Another commented: “It doesn’t look like they are mature enough to get married lol.”

A third person added: ‘This list makes me anxious. Also, twerking and gyrating to the max, or whatever, is inconsistent with the concept of rhythm when drinking. I don’t know what is expected of me. I hate these people.’

But, on the other hand, there were those who understood the need to issue such strict guidelines and defended the couple.

One person wrote: ‘They’re not asking for anything out of order. They are simply stating what should be obvious, but they have probably seen in the past behavior of their family and friends that NEEDS to be addressed.

‘Is it a bit vulgar? Yes, but the only people who will be bothered by this are the ones who would have been a problem.’

A second person commented: ‘Why do so many people read “don’t sit all night” when you’re not allowed to sit at all?

“It’s pretty obvious that it’s just about getting people to dance/mingle, rather than sit all the time, without literally saying ‘you can’t sit all night.'” Nothing on this list is really unreasonable – just because For some reason, it is worded aggressively.’

Someone else added: ‘People are doing too much in these comments. Yes, the tone is a little aggressive and this is definitely a “know your audience” type list, but most of these rules are no big deal.

“Everyone acts like they literally mean “there will be no chairs” and “no one can sit,” instead of just saying “we want our dance floor to be lit; Don’t come if you’re not planning on it. “Throw it in a circle” is sending me.

‘No s**t, this doesn’t apply to older people or people with mobility issues. Maybe it’s just my friends and family, but people who can’t or don’t want to dance would just laugh at that rule and move on.’
