He added: “For years I thought, you know, I’d like to be in James Bond. It would be really interesting. And I thought this was my moment, but it wasn’t.” Instead, he played the game controller and orchestrated the series’ challenges 007: Road to a million.
The competition series follows nine pairs of ordinary people as they embark on a global adventure through various Bond-inspired challenges for a chance to win a cash prize.
“It was fun,” Cox said when filming wrapped. “You know, I like bossing people around, so that’s what I did.” He also added that it was “touching to see” one of the couples on the show found a “new relationship in their marriage because they were suddenly able to trust each other after so many years.”
As for who will take over from Daniel Craig as the next 007, it will be some time before fans know.
This is what franchise producer Barbara Broccoli says The guard last month that there is a “big road ahead” before the iconic character is “reinvented for the next chapter.” She added that executives have “not even started” on modernizing the franchise.
