‘You all were always part of my future and my story and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am the luckiest and I love you all very much. Thank you for making me a mom.’
Last month, Green insisted he has always made his children his “number one” priority in life.
When asked about his approach to co-parenting, the actor, who recently reunited with Tori Spelling and Jason Priestly, said, “The first thing is always to make sure everything is centered around the children’s experience.”
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star also opened up about other important co-parenting lessons she’s learned over the past few years.
He explained: “The person that you were with and that you are now separated from, you are separated for a reason, because you didn’t get along.”
Green went on to state that separated parents must prioritize the well-being of their children despite the end of their romantic relationship.
He said: ‘You can’t expect to then get along in raising your children.’ So, you have to decide, “Okay, it’s not about us getting along anymore. It’s about us co-parenting, which is a totally different situation.”
Green began dating Fox in 2004, when she was 18 and he was 30; They married in 2010 and separated in 2020.
The star is pictured with his children, including eldest Kassius, 22, who he shares with ex Vanessa Marcil.
Fox quickly moved on with ‘twin flame’ Mgk, but the couple has already ended their engagement.
The artist also admitted that separation inevitably has an impact on children and that parents should approach their separations carefully.
‘People make the mistake of thinking that they are going to do things so that the separation does not affect the children and… of course it will affect the children. The only choice you have is how it affects the children,” he stated.
Green and Fox began dating in 2004 after they met on the set of the comedy series Hope & Faith.
The artists maintained an on-again, off-again marriage for several years and their union was formally dissolved in 2021.
The Jennifer’s Body star moved on with Machine Gun Kelly, although rumors about the couple’s possible breakup began to surface earlier this year.
Green began dating Sharna Burgess, who was his dance partner during season 30 of Dancing With The Stars, in 2020.
