Brendan Fevola has finally told the full story behind his infamous 2006 bar fight in Ireland, where he was sent home in disgrace.

The former Carlton and Brisbane Lions revealed that the fracas ended up costing him $ 250,000.

Fevola, 40, appeared on a panel at the Poker With Thee Stars tournament on Friday, sharing nasty details of how he became involved in a nightclub brawl in Galway following Australia’s victory over Ireland.

The story, which could easily serve as the plot of a Hangover movie sequel, began with 25-year-old Fevola and fellow Aussie teammate Barry Hall winning $ 62,000 betting on a horse at the Galway races .

Number 9 comes screaming from the outside and Hally and I won $ 62,000. I had the best day ever, ‘said Fevola, as reported by the Herald Sun.

Already in good spirits after Australia’s triumph over Ireland in an International Rules game – a mix of Aussie Rules and Gaelic football – a delighted Fevola made his way to a Galway pub to celebrate.

‘I went to the pub and I thought to myself,’ I don’t want to have any damn problems’ so I picked two guys [players] to sit at the bar because i got cashed and i’m going to sit there and drink p ** s in Ireland and have the best night of my life, ‘he said.

Unfortunately, the athlete’s night quickly turned to chaos when he noticed a footy player had put toilet paper in another player’s pants and set it on fire.

More chaos ensued when one of Fevola’s drinking buddies who couldn’t handle his alcohol suddenly started vomiting all over the bar.

Meanwhile, his other drinking buddy tried to put out the fire by ‘pecking’ at it, Fevola recalls.

Fevola implored the bartender, formerly called “Paul,” not to call the police and offered to pay for the damage out of his own pocket.

When Paul refused, the sportsman retaliated with physical aggression.

Galway police arrived at the nightclub and forced Fevola to apologize for his actions.

However, it wasn’t enough to stop Paul from successfully suing him for $ 250,000 later.
