New York Jets cornerback Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner admitted he was uneducated after sparking outrage by claiming Jews ‘run the world’ during a livestream appearance.

Gardner, who has enjoyed two seasons with the Jets, made the comment while appearing on popular Jewish streamer Adin Ross’ Kick livestream this week.

“I’m going to be honest, I don’t like any weird, funny shit,” Gardner says in the viral clip. “You all run the world.”

After the backlash ensued, Gardner took to X (formerly Twitter) to say, “I love all the people.” While my intentions were positive, I just learned that people use those same words I shared to express hatred towards Jews.’

“That’s not what I do and I appreciate those who took the time to inform me of that fact.”

Gardner clarified that his comments were a compliment. The cornerback also noted that the majority of his agency and marketing team are Jewish.

The online personality has 1.17 million followers on Kick, and previously amassed a large following on rival streaming site Twitch.

Gardner endured a frustrating 2023 season with the Jets, who failed to make the NFL playoffs after going 7-10.
