Tyson Fury gives his verdict on the match

‘I think it’s going to be an absolute classic!’ said the WBC heavyweight champion, who was pitchside at Old Trafford.

Fury, a Man United fan, also gave his score predictions, stating: “I’m a United fan, so I’ll go with the Reds and say 3-2.”

The boxer added that he wore green, not only for St. Patrick’s Day but for “luck.”

“Liverpool are a team in form, so we will need a bit of luck to beat them,” he added.

We’ll have news from the team soon!

We expect the team tokens to arrive in the next ten minutes!

Harry Maguire, Rasmus Hojlund and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are likely to feature, while Diogo Jota and Ryan Gravenberch could return to Liverpool.

There have also been some transfer rumors earlier this morning that both sides could go head to head to sign one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young talents.

Liverpool is home!

A few boos for the visitors who got off the bus at Old Trafford.

Fresh off his Cheltenham win!

Sir Alex Ferguson was pictured arriving at Old Trafford for today’s match.

The legendary United trainer has enjoyed an excellent week at Cheltenham with two of his horses riding to victory.

Will his former team conclude what could be a perfect week for the Scot?

Ten Hag backs injury-hit star Mount

While Mason Mount has had a difficult start at Old Trafford, having been sidelined several times with various injuries, Erik ten Hag has continued to back the midfielder throughout.

The Man United coach sees the Englishman as a player who can boost the Red Devils in the future

I am convinced that he will be (a key player). He did not have the opportunity to prove this point. But he will be a very good player for Manchester United.

It’s been really unfortunate and disappointing for him (the injuries), but also for us when you have such a classy player in the middle and you can’t play with him. He has had injuries as we all know.

Speaking of strikers…

Will we see Rasmus Hojlund back today?

Erik ten Hag gave some hints earlier this week that the Dane could return from injury later this afternoon…

We had a good week. The players you mention (Hojlund, Maguire and Wan-Bissaka) returned to the field, partly at the beginning of the week, had a session (on Friday) and are all training. We have to see how they recover from this, but it looks good. I think (they will be able to play).

Did Darwin Núñez click when Liverpool needed him most?

In my opinion, yes. Núñez has been in excellent form in the absence of Mohamed Salah.

Before the turn of the year, he had struggled to find the back of the net, but it was clear that he possessed tons of raw talent.

And he seems to have managed to find his form, scoring six goals in his last six games for the Reds and showing no signs of slowing down.

Mail Sport’s James Sharpe has delved into the numbers that show Nunez is on fire.

A heavyweight champion is home today!

Tyson Fury will face Oleksandr Usyk in May, but it appears Gypsy King has taken time out of his training schedule to watch this huge clash between two English football heavyweights.

Cover of today’s program

Several iconic photographs of past and present United stars are printed on the cover of today’s matchday programme.

On this day in 2016…

Here’s a throwback that I’m sure many Liverpool fans will want to see again!

Philippe Coutinho produced this impressive chip to help United recover and seal a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in 2016.

Brazil deals a hard blow to Manchester United

Brazil announced their squad for their upcoming friendlies against England and Spain on Friday night, but Casemiro was not named in the squad.

Coach Dorival Junior revealed that the Man United midfielder will miss the upcoming international break due to injury.

Casemiro has played 90 minutes in Man United’s last three games and it is now doubtful he will be able to play against Liverpool today.

Look who’s back!

Man United are home and Mason Mount has arrived with the team after his long injury break!

Mount has not played since November after suffering a soft tissue injury, and Erik ten hag hinted this week that he and Harry Maguire could return to action today.

The midfielder seemed in good spirits as he and the rest of the team met fans outside Old Trafford moments ago.

Fernando Torres is aiming for the cup!

The former Liverpool striker showed his support for his former club, with a video appearing online of the Spaniard training in the gym while wearing a Trent Alexander-Arnold shirt.

Meanwhile, the home team could welcome back several key stars, including Harry Maguire and Mason Mount, but could be without Brazilian midfielder Casemiro for the match (I’ll have more on his injury situation in a moment!).
