A woman told how the dream man turned into a violent rapist who told her: & # 39; It's your duty to give me sex. & # 39;
Brave Kelly Penny, 36, from Bridgend, Wales, has spoken of the horrific abuse she has suffered by Gareth Rainbow, who has been imprisoned for 16 years.
The couple enjoyed a whirlwind of six months of romance before making the knot for family and friends at a white wedding in March 2013.
But Rainbow's behavior changed from one day to the next and turned into an & # 39; aggressive bully & # 39; who brutally abused her for years.
In 2015, he launched a brutal attack on her, and he was imprisoned for ABH for 21 months in July of that year with intent at Merthyr Crown Court.
After being released in April 2017, he kept in touch with his wife and bombarded her with 4,000 messages.
Then he appeared in Mrs. Penny's apartment in July 2018 and launched the horrible sex attack on her, and he was arrested.
Mrs. Penny has now given evidence against him and in February this year he was convicted of rape and sexual abuse.

Mrs. Penny, who renounced her right to anonymity, said: “I made a statement to the police and Gareth was charged with rape, but then he denied everything.
& # 39; I had no choice but to testify, but I knew I had to do it.
& # 39; I only hoped the jury would believe me after I had experienced everything. & # 39;
The couple had known each other for years when mechanic Rainbow, 36, turned up to work on Kelly's car.
She said: & # 39; I kept telling myself it had to be destiny.
& # 39; We talked and sparks flew and he didn't seem to get enough of me … & # 39;
Rainbow asked the question just six months after the couple started dating.
Kelly, from Bridgend, South Wales, said: & I got a beautiful white dress and we invited 40 guests for our anniversary celebrations and 140 in the night. & # 39;

Recalling the sex attack, she said, "I tried to turn him off to stop, but he was too strong for me … Then I fainted in shock."
The devastated Kelly said that Rainbow gave himself a vodka after the attack.
But she managed to call for help when he left the room.
She said: & # 39; The police were there in a matter of minutes. They fascinated Gareth and took him away. & # 39;
Judge Michael Fitton QC gave Rainbow an extended sentence of 16 years in February of this year.
He said: & # 39; You are a deeply self-centered man who has no respect for women and who is a real danger with every woman with whom you have a relationship. & # 39;
Rainbow is made to sign the registers of sex offenders indefinitely and has been given an indefinite restrictive order.
