NFL star Brandon McManus has made wild allegations against two women who accused him of sexual assault on a team flight to London after a judge dismissed their case.
The former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker was sued, along with his former team, by two flight attendants who claimed he rubbed and ground himself against them during travel last year, allegations he denies.
But in court documents filed in response as part of the case, McManus used the women’s alleged social media posts and other allegations to try to portray them as drug addicts, promiscuous and greedy.
Other explosive claims include that one of the flight attendants, aged 29, allowed herself to be legally adopted by an 84-year-old man before becoming romantically involved with him and manipulating him into leaving her more than a third of his estate.
The women were seeking $1 million and a jury trial, according to ESPN, but a judge has now dismissed the plaintiffs’ case, citing their refusal to be named in the suit as grounds for dismissal.

“Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II have made serious allegations against a public figure and have called into question his credibility,” Circuit Judge Michael S Sharrit wrote in his ruling.
‘Fairness requires that plaintiffs be prepared to publicly support their allegations just as defendant McManus must openly refute them.’
“We are very pleased with the court’s order regarding Mr. McManus’ motion to dismiss these baseless allegations,” McManus’ attorney Brett Gallaway said in a statement to ESPN.
As part of their filing, the athlete and the Jags presented several sexually explicit social media posts that they claimed were made by the women.
The document also claimed that one of the flight attendants posted an image of herself in “a short skirt, on an airplane, lying face down on a seat with her legs in the air in a sexually provocative pose” and used the N-word in the posts.
McManus accused one of the women of persuading a North Dakota man 50 years her senior to adopt her, before extorting him for $100,000 to pay for rent, cars and credit card bills.
The case alleges that the woman also persuaded the man, identified only as Joel, to change his will and leave her 35 percent of his estate “to the detriment of his other two children.”
The document, known as a request for admission, is used during the discovery phase of a trial and is a request to establish agreed-upon facts.
The filing also asked the plaintiff to “admit that prior to having a sexual and/or romantic relationship with Joel, and prior to being legally adopted by Joel, you had a sexual and/or romantic relationship with Joel’s son.”
The women said the sexual assault took place on board this charter flight to London last year.
McManus also accused them of drinking on the job, including taking shots of alcohol at 7 a.m., receiving treatment for narcotics addiction and having “sexual contact” with other NFL players and personnel while on the job.
He claimed they continued to work on NFL charter flights even after making their allegations.
She asked them to admit that they were in the process of trying to obtain settlement money from other men for alleged sexual assaults, “including, but not limited to, allegations you made against a high school teacher that were later determined to be unsubstantiated.”
The women and their families were also accused of participating in personal injury litigation related to unpaid medical bills in North Dakota, California, Texas and Arizona.
Tony Buzbee, who represents the women, responded to the allegations by calling them mostly “false and irrelevant.”
“The Jaguars pretend to care about women’s issues and victims of sexual assault, but when two women report a sexual assault on a Jaguars charter flight by a Jaguars player, the Jaguars attempt to tear down the victims instead of fixing the broken system that allowed the assaults to occur,” he said.
‘These harassment requests made to these two women have nothing to do with what happened on that plane flight, and the Jaguars know it.
“It is a disgrace that when victims speak out against such atrocious conduct, they are attacked and vilified. The good news is that these two women are strong and intend to speak out against the wrongs that allowed this type of conduct to occur.”
McManus denied the allegations and has since sought to paint his accusers as sex-obsessed money-grubbers in his own court filing.
McManus was sued along with his former team, which was accused of failing to provide a safe work environment.
According to the women’s lawsuit, the Jaguars flew to the U.K. on an Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings charter flight on Sept. 28, 2023, and the two women worked as flight attendants for the team.
They claimed the trip “quickly turned into a party” and that McManus and several other players “disregarded the personal space of flight attendants, air travel safety and federal law.”
One of the women, identified only as Jane Doe I, accused McManus of trying to kiss her while she was seated during a period of turbulence and of rubbing up against her twice while she was serving food to passengers.
The Jaguars, owned by Shad Khan, were also sued by the women for failing to supervise McManus and failing to create a safe environment for staff working for the team.
The second woman, Jane Doe II, claimed McManus rubbed up against her as she served the second of two meals on the flight, before confronting him, only for him to “smile and walk away.”
Doe also claimed that during the first alleged assault, he made eye contact with another Jaguars player, who “appeared embarrassed by McManus’ behavior.”
Doe II also alleged that when the team returned to the U.S. from London after the doubleheader, she “stayed on the second floor of the plane to avoid McManus.”
The lawsuit says both women have experienced severe mental anguish, anxiety, psychological and emotional suffering, embarrassment and humiliation.
The Jags played two games in London in the 2023 season, against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley on Oct. 1 and then against the Buffalo Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 8. McManus played in both.
The kicker was not re-signed by the team at the end of last season and signed a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the Washington Commanders.
However, he was expelled from the team following the accusations.
McManus is pictured playing for the Jags in London, days after the alleged assault occurred.
Jacksonville bosses later released their own statement saying: ‘We are aware of the complaint and recognize the significance of the allegations.
‘As we continue to look into the matter, it is worth emphasizing that we insist on an organization built by people who represent our community and game with the highest character and class.’
Last season, the NFL star earned $2 million on his one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being released by the Denver Broncos.
In 2023, he made 30 of his 37 field goal attempts and all 35 extra point attempts.
