Aiyuk is one half of one of the most intimidating wide receiver duos in the NFL, alongside Deebo Samuel.
Now, Aiyuk’s injury adds to a growing list of concerns for the 49ers, who fell to 3-4 with the loss to the Chiefs. according to ESPN.
Aiyuk’s offseason was a rollercoaster with the 49ers, as contract negotiations between the wide receiver and the franchise progressed.
For months, the 49ers held firm on their offer and didn’t give Aiyuk what he wanted in an extension.

Aiyuk tore his ACL on Sunday in the Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Aiyuk posted a video on social media FaceTiming with Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, where he listed that Washington and the Pittsburgh Steelers have their preferred destinations in case things don’t work out in San Francisco.
Ultimately, Aiyuk got the market rate and received a four-year, $120 million contract.
The contract also comes with $76 million guaranteed and was anticipated with Aiyuk set to earn at least $47 million before touching an NFL field again.
The 49ers began the season as one of the NFC favorites to return to the Super Bowl.
