With Paula, Martin and Jamie all successful, the team do battle against Shaun for £20,000 and their individually earned share.
However, their fortunes ended shortly after a poor performance that saw them only get 12 questions right.
This comes shortly after one contestant was described by viewers as “the luckiest ever” after she completed a huge comeback to win £40,000 towards the prize pool.
Steph, 32, from Scotland, surprised viewers when she took the bold step of accepting an offer from top Chaser, Marc Labbitt.
The decision stunned fans given that Steph had only won £1,000 in her money maker, as she struggled with her first round of questions.
Steph was also the third contestant to appear on this show, as the first two had already been eliminated meaning there was no money in the prize pot, adding more pressure for her to make it to the final Chase.
However, Steph completed a huge comeback and reached the final with £40,000, surprising Chaser Mark and host Bradley Walsh.

Adorable! One female contestant was described as “the luckiest of all” by Chase viewers after she completed a huge comeback to win £40,000 towards the prize pool.
Fans took to Twitter to praise Steph for being brave enough to accept the higher offer, given the pressure on her to make it to the final.
She also turned down a low bid of £100, which would have been tempting given the extra focus on getting to the final.
One tweeted: “#thechase if Carlsberg does the Chase,” while another added: “Finally a racer chasing bravely! One in the money generator, do the high bid and get it. Exactly how it should play!”
A third post: ‘#thechase Fortune favors the bold…and apparently the stupid. The luckiest player ever.
Well done Steph #thechase Well how did you make it work, said a fourth, followed by several three leaf clover emojis.
After Steve, fourth and final contestant Zaki also made it to the final, winning £7,000 for the prize fund.
As they approached the final game, impressing host Bradley said: “I thought you Jonah got beaten up today but you played really well. A game of two halves.”
The pair then completed their final round with a respectable 15 correct answers, but were unfortunately caught by The Beast, meaning they went home with nothing.
Looking at Steph’s epic comeback, some fans were disappointed with the outcome, with one writing: “Wanted them to win so much, sweet couple, the beast is a spoiler.”
Another added: ‘Bad luck team. Good effort.’
