A man allegedly murdered by his MMA mentor during a sparring session gone wrong has been remembered as a “gentle giant”.

The body of Bradley Evennett, 32, was discovered by police on Georgina Ave in Melonba, near Mount Druitt, about 8.45pm on Friday.

Police will allege Evennett arrived at the home of his friend and mentor, Bradley Fletcher, 38, just hours earlier for a training session where he is believed to have died.

Fletcher is alleged to have driven to Georgina Ave and dumped Mr Evennett’s body in a bush before crashing his car and being arrested by police.

He was charged with murder and was formally refused bail at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.

A relative of Mr Evennett revealed that the two men had been friends for a long time and that Fletcher had taken the alleged victim under his wing as he was new to MMA.

“He was a gentle giant… we don’t understand any of this or how it could happen to him,” the relative told the Daily Telegraph.

‘…Brad was a kind person.’

Neighbors told the publication that Fletcher had moved into the house earlier that day and saw people arriving for the training event.

His home on Annan Ave is just 700 meters from where Mr Evenett’s body was found by a mother and her two children, who reported it to police.

Crime scene investigators were seen at the home on Sunday as investigations continue.

CCTV footage from the street shows a black car leaving the scene.

Shortly afterward, officers were alerted to a nearby collision involving a parked car whose driver had not stopped.

Police identified the vehicle as allegedly being used to transport the victim to the street where she was found.

Police arrested Fletcher shortly after he allegedly crashed his car into a parked vehicle and charged him with murder (pictured, police at Fletcher's home).
