Cooper was chatting to the hosts when he revealed that he never forgets, “everything anyone ever said” about him or his job.

“It’s catalogued, I can see exactly where I was, and when they question the vocabulary, the sentence structure, I’m like, ‘No, bro, that’s not what you said,’ Cooper admitted.

He added that he was at a CAA party four years ago, when he had seven Oscar nominations at the time, which he admits, “It’s crazy, it’s crazy.”

“This director – I’m standing next to a woman, a good friend and an actress,” who he says has three Oscar nominations.

He said, ‘What world do we live in where you have seven nominations and they only have three? What is going on?’ Cooper recalled.

“I was like, ‘I fucking hate this business.’ I’m like, ‘Bro, why are you such an asshole? Like, f**k yourself,” Cooper said.

Arnett admitted, “I’d never fucking forget that. I would make it a point to fucking crush that person.”

Cooper added that he was at the same CAA party but years earlier for his first Silver Linings Playbook nomination, where he took on Daniel Day-Lewis and Denzel Washington.

Cooper revealed that he came across a “hero actress” who he also didn’t name and said he didn’t know at all, who also made fun of his work.

“This heroic female actress, whom I didn’t know at all, comes up to me and says, ‘I’ve seen your movie. You deserve the name.’ I thought, “What? I’m sorry, what?” “The name,” he said.

“And then, about 10, 20 minutes later — I’m not kidding — I pass her into the bathroom and she’s like, ‘The nom,’ which means you don’t win, you’re never going to win,” Cooper explained.

‘I remember [thinking]“What the f— is this town?” Cooper said, as Arnett explained, “80% of the interactions have to do with it, it has nothing to do with you,” as Hayes added, “when someone says anything which is negative, it is about their own self-loathing.’

“Can you imagine saying that to someone? You must be screwed to do that,” Cooper said
