The actor’s Fleur de Miraval will flow at the 95th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on March 12.
On the Fleur de Miraval website, Pitt reveals that he partnered with the Perrin and Péters families to manage the vineyard before the trio released their maiden vintage in 2020.
The Bullet Train actor, who has also won two Oscars, says: “For me, champagne evokes feelings of celebration, quality, prestige and luxury.
“But rosé champagne is still relatively unknown. He wanted us to try to create the defining brand of rosé champagne by focusing all our efforts on this one color.
‘The result is spectacular and I am very proud of it.’
It is advertised as a premium product, and wine connoisseur Elyse would have to agree.
Speaking about the $310 a bottle for Fleur de Miraval, he told FEMAIL: ‘This is a clean, linear style champagne. A light and airy mousse (look and feel of the fizz), it is flavorful with a hint of saltiness and a beautiful pale salmon colour.
‘There are hints of musky yeasty notes that remind you of the aroma of a bakery in the morning, mixed with aromas of perfectly ripe red apple and orchard fruit that bring excitement and anticipation.’
But Elyse said she found herself craving a little more creaminess and toasty notes on the palate at first.
She noted, “The finish is deep in its length, allowing you to savor and admire its persistence.”
He concluded: ‘The alluring aromas and modest natural luminosity in color make this wine admirable for any wine enthusiast. It has a beautiful texture and an expressive fruity character that is very pleasing.’

Fleur de Miraval is proud to be the first and only champagne house dedicated exclusively to rosé champagne.

FEMAIL spoke to Sommsation’s lead sommelier Elyse Lovenworth, who estimated that the Oscars (pictured in 2022) would demand up to 720 bottles of premium soda.
When asked if Pitt’s product is different from other labels, Elyse said: “What sets this champagne apart from so many competitors is that the champagne is a region and a style of wine built on the ‘old houses’ that feature hundreds of years of family winemakers and traditions”.
‘Pitt’s project is a collaboration that celebrates tradition; bringing a fresh perspective to the creation of this champagne rose as just one aspect of the lure.
“Very rarely do you see collaborations as powerful as those of this trio: Perrin, Peters and Pitt. An enhancement of tradition; the collaboration and the product of renowned winemakers is from within and without the Champagne region.
“We consider this collaboration to be ‘Champagne Plus’, capturing the beauty of champagne tradition but building on it with this one-of-a-kind trio.
“It’s hard to put a price tag on any wine: how it’s made, who made it, and what grapes it’s made from create value and reflect a price point. Another way that wine is valued is simply by how it tastes in the glass.
“Ultimately, at Sommsation we believe that wine is about the people who drink it and the connection they make.
“Serving a wine curated by a respected fellow Oscar member will certainly create a special connection and enhance the overall enjoyment of partygoers.”

Despite winning high praise from wine experts and earning a coveted spot at the Oscars tables, the vineyard has been a bone of contention between Pitt, 59, and his ex Angelina Jolie, 47.

Piper-Heidsieck, founded in 1785, had a long-term association with the Oscars and was the event’s official champagne for seven years in a row.
But it was succeeded by Pitt’s Fleur de Miraval label in 2021.
Speaking about the differences between the two, Sommsation’s head sommelier told FEMAIL: “Piper-Heidsieck is classic and traditional, and has set standards for the Champagne region since 1785.
“Pitt’s label builds on that tradition, drawing on learnings from the 1700s to make something that stands apart from the standards.
‘The Oscars, with their own tradition of awards for artistic and technical merit, serve as a fitting stage and provide a direct connection from their side of the arts to the world of wine.
“Now in its second year at the Academy Awards, the bubbly is probably a crowd favorite.”

But Angelina later sold her stake in the Province winery after filing for divorce just two years later, citing irreconcilable differences, but the battle is still going on.
