Brad Pitt feels completely helpless as his son still refuses to have any contact with him while he recovers from his terrifying bike accident with his mother, Angelina Jolie.
Pax Jolie-Pitt was released from the ICU over the weekend after receiving treatment for crashing his electric bike into the back of a car that was stopped at a red light on Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Angeles on July 29.
A new witness to the crash has revealed horrific details about the “complex trauma” suffered by the 20-year-old and confirmed he was not wearing a helmet.
Lola Cavalli, who administered first aid to Pax at the scene, said Entertainment Tonight He was bleeding from the head.
“And it wasn’t a lot of blood. It didn’t look like there was a gush of blood coming out. But his mouth was full of blood. When he was trying to talk, I saw a little gush of blood coming out of his mouth.”
Now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy, and his mother, Angelina Jolie, 49, has been there every step of the way.
According to sources, Pax “doesn’t want any well-wishes” from his “distraught father” Brad, 60, although the “heartbroken” Hollywood actor is determined to help in any way he can.
A source close to the couple exclusively told DailyMail.com that Brad also wants the family dynamic to be undivided and for there to be no “radio silence” about his son’s health.
Pax will have a “long road to recovery” and “suffered complex trauma,” a source told People of his condition; he was spotted out and about in Los Angeles on July 11.
They said: ‘Don’t expect Pax’s accident to reset the family dynamic in any way as Pax is 100% on Angie’s side and wants no well wishes or regrets from Brad.
‘Brad is upset that Pax got hurt and would love to help in any way he can during his recovery, but it doesn’t seem like it will ever happen since there is an eternal disconnect and division between all of them.
“It’s heartbreaking for Brad to have gotten to this point where he can’t even be a concerned father as all he’s getting is complete silence about what’s going on with his son.
‘It’s just another distressing circumstance that is part of Brad’s normal life.
‘He wishes everyone could just be on top of it all, since this situation involves people’s lives, but the emotions as they are between Pax, Angie and Brad are so bad that there will never come a time when things will be okay.’
The source added: “Brad doesn’t know what to do because there’s nothing he can do or is allowed to do, it’s heartbreaking.”
But another source claimed that Brad had made no effort to see Pax.

They said: ‘Brad has not tried to see Pax. He has made no effort to do so. Angelina has raised these children as a single mother for the last eight years. They love their mother.
‘All Angelina wants is peace, but he is determined to continue fighting against it and blaming everyone but himself for the situation he finds himself in now.’

A representative for Brad declined to comment.
Last week, Brad was said to be “distraught” at not being able to speak to his estranged son following his accident.
“Brad gets very upset whenever he hears that one of the children has been hurt and feels completely helpless because there is nothing he can do,” a source told DailyMail.com.
“A father’s tendency would be to go to the hospital or call him. He has tried many times, but the children do not respond to his calls. His hands are tied.
“Brad doesn’t think Pax should have been riding a scooter without a helmet to begin with – he should have been in a car.”
Oscar-winning actress Angelina has been by her son’s side since he was hospitalized.

Pax, like several of his other siblings, is estranged from his famous father.

Angelina adopted Pax from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2007. He was three years old and abandoned when he was a newborn by his heroin-addicted biological mother.
Brad formally adopted him the following year.
Pax is reportedly close to his siblings Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
