“Within the scenic beauty of the Arizona Biltmore lies a captivating story that connects Greek mythology, artistic heritage and the secret guardianship of the earth,” according to the resort’s website.

“The 19 solemn Sprite statues that adorn the grounds have a history as rich and intriguing as the land they watch over.”

They were a collaboration between iconic American architect Frank Lloyd Wright and artist Alfonso Ianelli.
