Toddler George was seen with his hand bandaged on Wednesday after breaking his finger and undergoing surgery, MailOnline has learned.

The Karma Chameleon singer, 63, who returned to the stage just two weeks after undergoing surgery, was spotted enjoying a stroll through London’s Belsize Park.

George cut a sombre figure as he stepped out in an all-black ensemble of sweatpants, a sweatshirt and a long coat.

The hitmaker carried a backpack on his travels and completed the casual look with a cap and a pair of dark sunglasses to cover his eyes.

George’s representatives told MailOnline that, “in true George style”, he would be performing on a cruise with his band Culture Club immediately after surgery because, as a rule, he “never cancels”.

This comes after it emerged in March that despite his successful career, the singer was rejected by his school after he asked to return for a visit.

She attended Eltham Green during the 1970s, and the star confessed she doesn’t have the best memories of the school due to its experimental appearance.

However, the hitmaker had hoped to return to give a talk to current students, only to be told he was not welcome for fear he would bring back “bad memories” of the school.

When Boy George attended, the school was known for its poor reputation and out-of-control students, before it later became Harris Academy Greenwich and changed course.

In 2016, the school even received an outstanding rating from Ofsted and staff decided that a visit from Boy George would not be appropriate.

Speaking to the TelegraphHe admitted: ‘They didn’t let me in. I tried to go back to my school and they didn’t let me, because it became an academy.

‘When I went, it was a comprehensive school, a mixed school with a very bad reputation.

“So they thought it was just going to bring back all those bad memories from when the school was in decline.”
