Boy, 17, is stabbed to death after partying in Leeds: Police launch murder investigation

Police have launched a murder investigation after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death after a party in Leeds.
Police received reports of a disturbance at a house in Salisbury Grove, Armley, at 2:48am this morning, where a a party was taking place involving a large number of people.
Another call was received from the ambulance service which was responding to a man reported to have been stabbed at the address.
Officers assisted and removed people from the area, while the 17-year-old from Leeds he was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Detectives from West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Investigation Team are treating her death as a murder, they said.
The address in Salisbury Grove is undergoing forensic examination and specialized searches.

The lead investigating officer, Detectives Chief Inspector Alan Weekes, said: “The loss of a young life in such sudden and violent circumstances is an absolute tragedy, and we are treating this incident very seriously and doing everything we can to identify those who responsible”.
We continue to support this young man’s family through what is clearly an incredibly difficult time for them, and we are committed to providing them with the answers they need as we continue our investigations.
“Our investigation is still in its early stages, and we are conducting extensive investigations to build a picture of the full circumstances of this incident.
“We are aware that a large number of people were attending a party at the address when the victim was attacked, and we look forward to speaking to anyone who may have been there and witnessed any part of this incident.”
He added: ‘We would also like to hear from anyone in the area at the time of the incident who has any relevant CCTV, phone or dash cam video that could assist in the investigation.
“We fully appreciate that this incident is causing understandable concern in the local community, and we are in contact with our colleagues in Leeds Borough who are working to reassure people.
“Officers from the local neighborhood police team will maintain a heightened presence in the area and will update local community representatives as our investigations progress.”
