A boy raped and abused by four brothers during years of nauseating abuse has died in a case that shocked Bolivia.

The 11-year-old fell into a coma and suffered two heart attacks on Saturday, with doctors unable to save his life after the second cardiac arrest.

The sick perpetrators – aged 15, 17, 23 and 28 – also gave him HIV.

Their victim died in hospital in Santa Cruz, the country’s largest city.

Bolivian President Luis Arce called the boy’s attackers “evil.”

He wrote on social media: “We express our deepest pain at the boy’s departure from Yapacani.

This tragic outcome cannot go unpunished, it is unthinkable to accept so much evil against an innocent child.

“To his family, all our support and deepest condolences.”

The boy’s plight only came to light a week ago after his mother demanded justice for her son’s more than two-year sexual abuse.

The eldest of the four brothers died of AIDS last year.

A group of residents of the child’s birthplace came to court to beat up one of the men.

For this they have breached a security detail.

He was later sent to Palmasola Prison in Santa Cruz.

One of the minors is in a juvenile court and will be held in the Cenvicruz drug rehabilitation center.

The other minor is said to have fled to Chile.

The boy only told about the horrors he had suffered when he was first discovered with HIV last year.

He identified his aggressors and his family went to the police.

The boy said he had been repeatedly raped by the brothers – who were his neighbors – for over two years.
