Footage has been released of the moment the suspected Bourke Street killer crashed into another car as pedestrians rushed out of the way.
CCTV shows a Toyota allegedly driven by Zain Khan ramming a white Hyundai and then ramming a gray Mazda at the intersection of Bourke and Russell streets last Friday evening.
A woman crossing the street miraculously escaped unharmed when the two vehicles collided right in front of her.
Tragically, the 76-year-old driver of the Hyundai, a respected Bunswick man, died from injuries sustained on impact.
He is considered an admired grandfather and philanthropist who donated his time and money to an elite school and received a college scholarship named after him.
Three other people remain hospitalized after being struck on the sidewalk.

Other videos shared online show the car allegedly driven by Khan, which is owned by his mother, speeding on the Bourke Street tram tracks before the fatal crash.
Khan, 26, reportedly hit pedestrians crossing the tracks during the chaos, while other passersby narrowly avoided the full impact of being hit by the car.
Two women remain in hospital with head injuries and broken bones, while another man is recovering with a broken pelvis and concussion.
Since the fatal accident, Khan’s mother has revealed that her son has been experiencing mental health issues which have worsened since he recently stopped taking ‘anti-psychotic’ medication.
Khan’s mother, who did not wish to be identified, said her son was a “kind child” and a “humble son” who became “ill.”
It also emerged that Khan, a former barber, had made a series of strange posts on Facebook in recent years, including one in which he shared a link to a “soul-touching Quran recitation”.
‘I am not crazy. even God says so,” Khan captioned the post in September 2020.
Another post in 2019 simply said: “Justice will be served.”
The accused murderer has also repeatedly shared his admiration for a notorious American rapper murdered in 2016 while awaiting trial for domestic violence offenses.
Khan declared his adoration for Jahseh Onfroy, known professionally as XXXTentacion, in a post, adding: “He had light in his soul. he is my only psychologist.”
He was employed at a cafe at Melbourne’s Sunshine Public Hospital, about 20km west of Bourke Street, and worked on the day of the tragedy.
But Khan didn’t finish his shift Friday and left work early.
A video of Khan also appeared online showing him sitting in a car staring intently at the camera lens. Other clips show Khan dancing alone.

Following Friday night’s horror scenes, Khan was filmed bizarrely lying on the windscreen of his mother’s car, dressed head to toe in white.

Victoria Police alleged Khan sped off after allegedly mowing down three pedestrians at a tram stop on the corner of Bourke and Swanston streets.
It is understood Khan, from Melton West, 40km from Melbourne, was unable to properly answer police questions and was taken to hospital.
