Borussia Dortmund held off a spirited Hoffenheim to take a nerve-racking 3-2 win at the Rhein-Neckar Arena on Saturday, leaving them less than three points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
Erling Haaland opened the score for the visitors in the sixth minute, but just before half-time Hoffenheim hit back via Andrej Kramaric.
Dortmund opened up a two-goal lead after halftime thanks to Marco Reus and an own goal from David Raum, but they were sweating in the closing stages of the game when substitute Georginio Rutter withdrew a goal for the hosts.
