Boris Becker shows up on his balcony to join the country in clapping for the NHS … as he reveals that social detachment has allowed him to visit the park without ‘being bothered for signatures’
Boris Becker was seen joining the nation on Thursday evening and applauding NHS staff as they continue to treat patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The former tennis player, 52, appeared solo at 8 p.m. on the balcony of his West London penthouse to show his appreciation for the medical staff at Clap For Our Carers, which has become a weekly event since March.
German star Boris expressed support after hours of sharing a clip of himself revealing that he could visit his local park for the first time in years without ‘bothering for an autograph’, thanks to social aloofness.

With a gray hoodie and striped polo top, which he paired with a flipped baseball cap and sunglasses, the star seemed to be in his element basking in the sun and the high temperatures.
He said to the camera, “Because of social distance, I can walk in the park for the first time in years without anyone disturbing me or getting too close for photos and autographs and stuff. Something good. ‘
The Clap For Carers campaign, which started online, was organized because “in these unprecedented times, they need to know that we are thankful,” said the organizers.
