Bodycam footage shows cops taking away Nashville shooter Audrey Hill

Date:

This morning Nashville police released bodycam footage from a school shooting yesterday that killed six people, including three nine-year-olds, showing the moment two police officers pulled out passing shooter Audrey Hill.

Hill opened fire at Covenant School, a small private primary school run by the church on the outskirts of town, just before 10.13am.

Armed with two rifles and a revolver, she planned the killing meticulously. By 10.27am, she was dead, having been struck by Officers Rex Engelbert and Michael Collazo.

The footage shows how officers strategically checked classrooms for the shooter before finding her in the second floor hallway, firing in their direction as part of her plan to commit suicide by a cop.

She was no match for Officer Engelbert, 27, a four-year-old veteran who immediately hit her with four shots from his semi-automatic weapon.

Officer Collazo, a nine-year veteran of the force, approached with a gun afterwards, and fired four more shots as Hill fell to the ground, before approaching and disarming her.

Since they arrived at the school at about 10.22am, it took five minutes to find and kill Hale.

By that time, she had already managed to kill three nine-year-olds and three employees.

When they arrived at the scene, a woman standing outside the school directed the officers where to go.

A panicked employee is seen leaning against a tree. He hands Engelbert the key he needs to access the school, which Hale gains access by shooting through the panes of glass in another door.

The transgender shooter — who was born female but often used the pronouns “he/him” — had a “resentment” for having to attend school as a child.

She shot and killed Principal Catherine Consey in the hallway in an “assassination” style killing, as well as shooting church guard Mike Hale and substitute teacher Cynthia Beck.

Hill also killed three nine-year-old students. Haley Scruggs, William Kenny, and Evelyn Dechhaus.

It is unclear whether it targeted these children or their class.

Before driving to school, I messaged a friend on Instagram telling them, “I plan to die today. This is not a joke!!!

You’ll probably hear about me on the news after I die.

“This is my last goodbye. I love you. “See you again in another life.”

Audrey (Aiden).

The killer’s family has yet to speak publicly. In her message to a friend earlier in the day, she told them her parents had no idea what she was planning.

In addition to the three weapons found at the site, two other guns were taken from her home.

It’s unclear if they were also registered with Hill, who has “high functioning” autism, according to police sources.
