A man’s body has been discovered in a local park as police investigate the grim discovery.
Officers were called to the park near Upper Ormeau Road in Kingsholme, on the Gold Coast, about 5am on Monday.
The man has not yet been identified.
A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the man was treated for life-threatening injuries.
Gold Coast Acting Superintendent Jason Tuffley said the man was found unconscious at the scene.
“Upon QAS arrival he was pronounced deceased,” Superintendent Tuffley said.
“(I’m not) aware of any injuries.”
Police have not yet determined whether the man’s death is suspicious.

Superintendent Tuffley said officers are investigating whether drugs may be involved, the Gold Coast Newsletter information.
