Body found in home at Adelaide suburb of Cowandilla

A series of raids led police to the discovery of the body of an alleged murder victim.

South Australian Police responded to a series of alarms at businesses on Henley Beach Road in Torrensville, Adelaide, around 12.30am on Tuesday.

While searching the stores, officers discovered a 32-year-old man with a leg injury, allegedly suffered during the robberies.

“Investigations with this man led police to a nearby house in Cowandilla, where they located the body of a 60-year-old man,” South African police said in a statement.

“Police believe the victim resides at the address and both men know each other.”

Officers remain at the crime scene and have kept the injured man under police guard while he receives treatment for his leg injury.

“The man is expected to be charged with murder and other related property crimes once he completes his medical treatment,” police said.

Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.

More to come.
