Looking back: Bode and Morgan Miller have started talking about the ‘incredible’ home birth of their twin boys
Bundles of Joy: Bode, 42 and Morgan, 32, welcomed identical twin boys Asher and Aksel on November 8, 2019, just a few days before her due date
‘I share it because I want you to see that women are bad ** mothers and that our bodies are beautiful. It’s a scary emotional drive, but damn it, we can do so much more than we even know, “she added.
“Continue with an open mind and an open heart … and a strong stomach AND remember, you don’t have to continue if you don’t want to.”
The first clip starts with Bode that opens over the weeks prior to the birth of the twins, who are now 15 weeks old.
“One of the interesting parts of it was my prediction that I would have identical twin boys on my birthday,” he explains. “My birthday is October 12 and when we arrived around October 12, it looked like it was very possible. It was within that early pregnancy window for twins. ”
The former Olympic skier further notes that Morgan is ‘stubborn’ and their sons eventually ‘went back to sleep’, which he thought was ‘absolutely right’.
Advice: in her first position, Morgan encouraged her followers to ‘continue with an open mind and an open heart’
Memories: In a series of videos shared on her Instagram stories, Morgan Bode interviews about the day he gave birth to their sons after their midwives didn’t arrive on time
Flashback: Morgan says she wore their twins for ’39 weeks and four days’ and noted that it was her longest pregnancy
“It was my longest pregnancy,” Morgan adds. “I went with twins for 39 weeks and four days, which is unheard of, and all my other babies were early.”
After almost a month, the couple decided to start the birth with ‘baby rocket fuel’ while their children were in school.
“You were like” I’m over here, “Bode recalls, and Morgan admits that she was” mentally, physically cooked. ”
The couple was with Bode’s mother, who is an obstetrician, and after Morgan began to feel some contractions, he prepared for the birth.
“I was more or less in baby mode at the time,” he explains. “I started filling the tub, although Morgan thought,” What are you doing? The water is getting cold. It’s going to hurt. ” I kind of said, “Okay, well, I’m filling it up.”
Beginning of it all: before midwives arrived, Bode helped his wife push her hips and Morgan ‘felt the lead come out’
So fast: Morgan planned to have a water birth, but she couldn’t reach the bath when her contractions started. Her first son was born after just a few nudges
Ready to go: While they thought they had some time before their second son arrived, their second son was born shortly thereafter
Morgan says around 2:15 in the afternoon that she has sent a picture of her midwife to her midwife and told her not to come.
While they were on the road, she had changed her mind about a home birth, but it was too late.
“You said,” I don’t want to do this today. I am going to the hospital. I want an epidural, “Bode recalls. “I said,” Well, that’s not going to happen. That window is over. ”
After about fifteen minutes, Morgan’s contractions became more intense and she gave birth – before her midwives arrived.
“You went to the other side of the bed and said,” Come, push my hips, “so I got up and came over and pushed on them,” Bode says of the moment. “And within three contractions I could really feel them apart when I pushed them together, meaning that the baby’s head really goes down and your pelvis is actually pushing apart.”
Don’t wait: the proud father says that their second “came in one contraction”
Response: Bode remembers his wife laughing hysterically during delivery
“This is about 3 hours now,” Morgan adds behind the camera. “I’m on the other side of the bed and I looked at the bathtub on the other side of the room, decided it was too far for me to get there, so my knees fell to the side of the bed.”
Although they had prepared a birth kit, everything happened so quickly that they only had a towel nearby when it was time to welcome their sons.
Bode helped his wife push her hips and Morgan “felt the lead come out.”
“As soon as I let go, the baby came out,” he says, explaining that Morgan caught half of their son and caught the rest.
“He was completely in the bag of water until his feet protruded completely,” he notes. “He was more or less in this clear water balloon and was looking straight at me from the water, which was crazy.”
Crowd: After the boys were born, the midwives arrived and Bode says it became a “chaos of chaos”
What a day: the midwives, including Bode’s mother, Jo Kenney, helped clean the babies and get Morgan in bed
Special moment: Bode’s mother gave him a sweet hug after his sons were born
Binding time: ‘It was incredible. It could not have been better if you had written it, “says Bode of the moment
After his son’s feet were broken by the bag, Bode cleaned it and gave it to his mother.
“He was covered with vernix, but completely healthy and happy,” Bode recalls.
While they thought they had some time before their second son arrived, the proud father says he “came in one contraction.”
After the boys were born, the midwives arrived and Bode says it became a ‘chaos of chaos’.
“They were like,” Oh my god, saint, what are you doing? ” he remembers. “I was like:” I suppose I have babies? I do not know.”‘
All smiles: Bode and Morgan shared heart-warming family photos of the moment, just a few days after she gave birth
Amazing experience: the former Olympic ski racer said that delivering his twins was “one of the more crazy things I have ever experienced”
Intimate moment: “A day that couldn’t be better scripted and perfectly coordinated to bring the two into the world,” Morgan wrote in her caption when she shared photos of her twins
Morgan hoped for a quick delivery before her children returned from school, and she both got her wishes.
“It was incredible. It could not have been better if you had written it, “says Bode. “It was literally ideal.”

‘We are on the happy day / angel number of 11/11 which is not far from @millerbode birthday of 10/12. From the beginning of this pregnancy we knew that Emmy had her hands in this miracle somehow. “
