Diablo 4 released just over a week ago, and developer Blizzard revealed the most played category.
According to Diablo Chief Development Officer Rod Ferguson, the most played class in Diablo 4 is the Sorcerer/Sorceress.
Ferguson wrote in a tweet: “I didn’t ask permission to share this but thought you might be interested to know that at the moment the most played class in Diablo 4 is Sorcerer/Sorceress! But you didn’t hear that from me. In case someone from PR or Marketing…”.
This is until June 9, but with player numbers expected over the weekend, this data may change soon.
Diablo 4 comes out with 5 classes: the aforementioned Sorcerer, Barbarian, Necromancer, Rogue, and Druid.
What is special about the Sorcerer/Sorceress class? It makes sense that players would gravitate to a class that is generally considered more powerful than the rest, and this applies to the Sorcerer.
But the Sorcerer is also the most fun class to play with in Diablo 4, with its signature spells and unique armor that you’ll be eager to collect (or buy if you don’t mind the expensive Diablo 4 in-game purchase).
Diablo 4 is also Blizzard’s best-selling game. It received good reviews from critics and players alike, despite some server issues last week.
