Blake Lively’s sister came to the star’s defense by wishing her a happy birthday on social media on Sunday amid backlash over It Ends With Us.
Actress Robyn Lively, 52, shared a series of photos on Instagram of her little sister, who celebrated her 37th birthday at her best friend Taylor Swift’s mansion in Rhode Island over the weekend.
“That’s my birthday queen!” Robyn wrote, sharing a photo of herself holding a gold cardboard crown, with Blake standing in the background.
“I love this girl, my sister, my best friend, my little piggyback buddy!” she said, explaining the series of snaps included in the post.
“You are one of the best human beings I know. HAPPY birthday, sissy!” she exclaimed.

In a snap shared on her Instagram Stories, Robyn, who like Blake has been acting since she was a child, wrote “Happy birthday Sissy, I appreciate you” and tagged the Betty Buzz founder.
Both Blake and Robyn are children of talent manager Elaine Lively. Their siblings Lori, 57, Eric, 43, and Jason Lively, 56, are also actors.
Blake has come under fire recently over allegations of behind-the-scenes drama between her and director and co-star Justin Baldoni on her latest film, It Ends With Us.
The controversy has not dampened the film, which is about a woman escaping an abusive relationship.
The film took third place over the weekend after three weeks in theaters with a gross of $11.85 million. The drama has grossed more than $242.6 million worldwide.
Many fans agreed with Robyn’s assessment of the situation and her description of her little sister.
“Blake is a lovely human being. I hope she knows the crowd of people who love her is much bigger than the negative voices. Happy birthday Blake!” wrote one fan.
“Thank you for this,” responded Robyn, who also had a role in It Ends With Us.
“Finally a post about Blake that I like!” another follower commented.
