Blake Lively is facing further backlash after a clip from a 10-year-old Vogue interview resurfaced.
The 37-year-old actress has been under fire for her promotion of the controversial film It Ends With Us, and for a rumored feud with her co-star and the film’s director, Justin Baldoni.
In recent weeks, a number of old interview clips have resurfaced that appear to show Lively in a bad light. The latest video It originally aired in July 2014. and shows a Vogue journalist asking the actress which “movie made you laugh the most,” with the actress’s response baffling social media users.
“Life imprisonment,” she says with a serious face.

However, he maintains his innocence and eventually befriends a fellow inmate, played by Morgan Freeman, while also experiencing the brutality of prison.
Blake’s response appears to be an attempt at humor, but social media users couldn’t help but point out the awkward exchange.
“Life imprisonment? I cried watching it,” said one astonished user.
‘I wouldn’t have chosen The Shawshank Redemption even as a joke. Something like The Human Centipede or The Silence of the Lambs would have been more appropriate.
“I don’t think Blake and I have ever watched The Shawshank Redemption,” one user joked in the comments.
“Shawshank is one of my favorite movies, but LAUGHING while watching it is INSANE! I literally cry every time I watch it,” wrote another confused user.

The film focuses heavily on domestic abuse, and the Gossip Girl actress was criticized for the way she seemed to make light of serious questions about these topics during interviews.
Amid the controversy, a journalist resurrected an “awkward” interview she had with Blake in 2016, further increasing the furor.
During the interview, the actress made a sarcastic comment about Norwegian reporter Kjersti Flaa’s “baby bump” after she congratulated Blake, who was then pregnant, on her impending arrival, but the journalist was not pregnant.
