“When I saw a cut I thought, ‘Oh, how cute. It must have been a nice improvised thing.’ So if they tell me that Ryan wrote that, then great, how wonderful.”
“There were some little details that I didn’t write, but I assumed were improvised on set. But again, like I said, the moments that I felt needed to be honored are there. So I recognize the scene and I’m proud of it. And if those details came from Ryan, I think that’s wonderful,” she added.
It Ends With Us is based on Colleen Hoover’s 2016 best-selling novel.
Christy shared that the rooftop scene was “probably the hardest to tackle” because it’s “perfect in the novel.”
“In my first attempt at doing that scene, I tried to honor what Colleen wrote, almost word for word,” he explained.
“I tried really hard because I think she did it better. The tricky thing about that scene is that it’s long.”

YX, formerly Twitter, has been inundated with posts about the alleged split.
