A man has been arrested following an alleged fatal road rage incident in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to Jersey Road, Blackett, about 8.45am on Thursday following reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
Officers discovered that a 27-year-old man had allegedly been struck by a vehicle before fleeing the scene.
The 27-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
Following extensive investigations, a 39-year-old man attended Mount Druitt Police at around 6.30am on Friday, where he was arrested.

It is understood the alleged victim, who was wearing high visibility clothing and jeans, was in a red Ford Ranger believed to have been in a previous traffic incident with the white ute.
Witnesses say he then exited the Ford and attempted to stop the other vehicle when he was allegedly fatally struck.
Debbie Cremen, who has lived on the streets for 25 years, witnessed paramedics working on the 27-year-old man.
‘It was extremely confrontational. “They dragged him out of his vehicle and he was lying on the road,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
Horrified staff members at the nearby Marrin Weejali Aboriginal Corporation, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, watched the incident unfold outside their building.
“I can’t even put it into context,” said one staff member.
“He got out of his car, I don’t even know what he was planning to do.”
Police investigations into the incident continue.
