A wanted man remains at large despite being found asleep at the wheel of a luxury car when it stopped at a traffic light.
Motorists alerted police officers to the strange sight after the man stopped the car at a red light at an intersection on Belgrave-Hallam Road, Hallam, in Melbourne’s south-east, on Monday around 2pm. late.
Shocking footage captured the moment the man stopped at the traffic lights and took a nap, along with another male passenger in the black Mercedes sedan.
Nearby drivers began filming and taking photographs of their strange encounter with the man, wanted by authorities for allegedly evading police.

The man was asleep for at least 20 minutes at the red light before police responded to the scene, according to 7news.
Police said paramedics attempted to wake the diver before officers told him to exit the vehicle when he woke up a short time later.
A heavily tattooed officer yelled at the man not to leave as he began to move the car forward.
‘Don’t… get out of the car, get out of the car now!’ the officer shouted.
The driver disobeyed his instructions and with the intersection clear of police vehicles and oncoming traffic, he stepped on the accelerator and accelerated.
The man was driving a high-powered Mercedes C63 AMG valued at more than $100,000.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman told WhatsNew2Day Australia that the driver allegedly “failed to stop” when police pursued him, before he managed to escape a second time.
“No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing,” the spokeswoman said.
The driver is still at large.
