Bizarre moment a naked man in a mask wanders the Houston neighborhood before breaking into the couple’s home at 3am and committing a ‘lewd act’ while standing over their bed

A naked intruder – wearing only a hat and sneakers – broke into a home in Houston and performed a “lewd act” as he stood over the bed of a sleeping couple.
The man, identified as Edgin Tavera, 37, was captured on surveillance video entering a person’s home in the early hours of Friday morning before the rude act.
A woman, whose name has not been released, said ABC13 that she woke up around 3:20 a.m. to find a strange man standing over her bed with no clothes on. When she woke her boyfriend, she said, he chased the intruder out of their house and into the greenbelt.
An hour earlier, a neighbor’s security camera captured the man attempting to break into other homes in the neighborhood. In a clip he was seen rubbing his genitals on a car.
Commander Adrian Rodriguez of the Houston Police Department’s Kingwood Division assured the community that police were looking for the suspect.
Tavera was arrested on Tuesday and charged with second-degree felonies, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The masked man, who was naked and wearing only a hat and sneakers, was identified as Edgin Tavera, 37, entering a person’s home.

Before Taverna was shut down, cycling teams patrolled the Greenbelt.
Officials urged residents to lock their doors and windows and asked its residents to submit any videos they may have of the naked intruder.
The police commander also told the media that if the evidence they collected returns that they will have a good lead on the person they are looking for.
Residents of the Hunters Ridge neighborhood were eager to find the man, including Greg Dunson who lives a few blocks from where the naked intruder struck.
“We don’t know where he is, if he’s taken. Where did he go? Dunson told the outlet. ‘He is naked. Does he sleep in the woods? We do not know.
Tavera’s criminal history dates back to 2005, including his time behind bars.
His criminal record includes assault, possession of drugs, illegal firearms, driving with a suspended license and criminal mischief, criminal trespassing.
In 2021, he was arrested in 2021 and imprisoned for 12 months for the assault of an officer. In 2010 and 2020 he was recorded for assaulting a family member.
Tavera is currently being held at Harris County Jail and is scheduled to appear before Magistrate Robert Johnson at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
