However, there are some limitations to using Bing Chat in Chrome and Safari. For one thing, you can only write 2,000-word prompts, as opposed to the 4,000-word limit you get when you use Bing Chat on Edge. Your conversation with the chatbot will also reset after five turns instead of 30, and you’ll see some annoying popups asking you to download Edge.
In addition to a broader rollout across different browsers, Microsoft has also introduced dark mode for Bing Chat. You can switch to dark mode by selecting the hamburger menu in the upper right corner of Bing Chat and then pressing Appearance > Dark either default system. However, it doesn’t appear that this has been fully implemented. While some of my colleagues see this option, it’s not available to me yet.
Update July 24, 10:38 am ET: Updated to note that dark mode doesn’t appear to be fully implemented yet.
