Bindi Irwin reveals where she feels closest to her late father ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve: ‘My favorite place in the world’
Bindi Irwin has revealed the special place she feels closest to her late father Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin.
The 25-year-old wildlife warrior said this week she still carries that bond today.
“My dad built me a treehouse and it was my favorite place in the world to play. This was where I could be a wild child!’ she said Perth now.
“Surrounded by wildlife, next to the creek, that’s where I felt most connected to nature and my father,” Bindi continued.
“That connection meant everything to me and I carried it into adulthood.

“My world now revolves around wildlife conservation, encouraging others to care for our Earth and understand that we are all connected.”
Bindi recently revealed how she keeps her father’s memory alive, while speaking at the annual Steve Irwin Gala Dinner in Los Angeles.
“Whether it’s showing one of his documentaries for our daughter Grace, feeding the crocodiles at Australia Zoo, or nights like tonight,” she said. E! News.
“I think it’s really important to remember that we all deal with grief in different ways.”

The reality star added that the love and support of her family helped her immensely to cope with the heartbreak of losing her father at such a young age.
Bindi was only eight years old when her father, known to millions around the world as “the crocodile hunter”, died on September 4, 2006, at the age of 44, after being stabbed in chest by a stingray while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef.
Steve’s family continued their mission to promote and protect wildlife through Australia Zoo, and the family became global stars.
