Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins agreed to a new three-year contract in Buffalo, less than half an hour after trolling fans with a fake goodbye message.
Dawkins wrote what appeared to be a farewell letter to his team of the past seven years on Monday, hinting at his “next chapter” and stating that he had been “good while it lasted” in Buffalo.
However, moments later, the Bills confirmed they had reached an agreement with the 29-year-old on a new three-year contract, believed to be worth $60.5 million.
Dawkins later wrote on
He also added, “When I said Buffalo is my home I meant it #LoveYall #BillsMafia #YouAlreadyShnow.”

Dawkins wrote what seemed like a farewell letter to his team of the past seven years on Monday.
But when his new three-year deal was confirmed shortly afterwards, it became clear that the 29-year-old was simply trolling fans.
The Bills also wrote after confirmation of Dawkins’ three-year deal: “Not gonna lie, @DDawkins66 got us too.”
Dawkins was selected by Buffalo in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and has started 117 of the 123 games he has appeared in over the past seven years.
The former Temple College star also made the Pro Bowl in each of the last three years.
