Aside from the X’s and O’s on a field or court, sports can bring people together and create beautiful moments.

That’s been the case ahead of Sunday’s Week 13 game between the Buffalo Bills and 49ers, when the Bills Mafia took over San Francisco cornerback Charvarius Ward charity and shared it on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ward’s 23-month-old daughter Amani Joy tragically suffers passed away last month. Amani was born prematurely with Down syndrome and experienced heart problems from birth.

The post was reposted more than 500 times with almost 2,000 likes and 130 comments.

Ward’s mission “Change with Charvarius” charity says the following:

“Our organization is dedicated to empowering people with Down syndrome and their families through advocacy, education and research. We strive to foster inclusion, understanding and support as members of this community realize their full potential. and enjoy meaningful participation in society, we strive to achieve national reach in our efforts; we have a strong awareness and concerted effort to impact Southeast Mississippi. Our goal is to develop strong strategic partnerships to carry out and ensure impact. lasting mission. These partnerships will create a more informed and inclusive society that ultimately allows for a comprehensive lived experience despite their disability and/or socioeconomic status.”

After missing the last three games, Ward returned to the team and participated fully in Wednesday’s practice, a good sign that he could play in Buffalo.

During Thanksgiving week, Ward is certainly grateful for the support of the Bills Mafia and fans around the league.

Class act by everyone.
