Billionaire Warren Buffett’s wife, Astrid, allegedly complained about the price of a $4 coffee while at Sun Valley’s rich and famous summer camp on Thursday.
In a scene that echoes a Succession scenario, Astrid Buffett complained about how much she had to pay for her morning drink, despite the fact that her Berkshire Hathaway chairman husband, 92, is worth more than $115,000. millions of dollars.
According to the NYPost, Buffett complained that he “could get a pound of coffee” for the same price elsewhere.
The billionaire couple married in 2006, when she was 60 and he was 73. They live in a humble home in Omaha, Nebraska, for which Buffett paid $31,000 in 1958.

The meetings are held behind closed doors, and journalists are not allowed to attend.

In the tech industry, meanwhile, leaders are expected to meet with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to discuss the $52 billion US Chip and Science Act, which has to shore up advanced domestic semiconductor manufacturing, a person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.
And they are likely to discuss ongoing negotiations to create a new Indo-Pacific trade deal to replace the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which former President Donald Trump dissolved in 2017.
An initial version of the agreement would have effectively hampered efforts by member countries to regulate technology companies, including on issues like market dominance and privacy.
Tech executives have also been lobbying government officials in recent months to ensure their interests are represented in the new deal designed to curb China’s influence in Asia.
