Billionaire heiress Dorothy Wang has lashed out at Hamptons grocery store Round Swamp after discovering a “racially inappropriate” item in her grocery shopping.
While sampling a selection of foods, the former Rich Kids of Beverly Hills and Bling Empire star revealed she had purchased a bag of ‘Kung Pow’ chips.
“I don’t feel like they’re racially appropriated,” she said in a TikTok video shared Sunday.
‘Should I try this even though I feel like it’s cultural appropriation?’
Asked if she usually eats tortilla chips, she added: ‘Tortilla chips and kung pao chips are not the same thing. Maybe if they were called ‘kung pao chips’ correctly, they would be the same thing as tortilla chips.
“There is always room to be more culturally sensitive and accurate.”

After taking a bite, Wang said, “There’s something that doesn’t feel traditional about these. They’re definitely stale.”
Wang continued to eat the chicken salad sauce, guacamole and beet chips, which were the highlights of his purchase.
His criticism of ‘kung pow’ chips drew mixed responses from fans.
While some questioned whether the name was actually racially insensitive, others urged her to try other dishes on the menu.
“The truth is that chips and salsas are NOT the most worthwhile things to buy there. Next time, buy baked goods and fruit grown in their garden,” said one.
“You are sophisticated and eat at fancy restaurants. Round Swanp is no match for your palate. You have eaten at the finest restaurants in the world,” wrote another.
“Spelling is only half the problem. Why call them kung pow chips in the first place?”
“Beet chips are so underrated. They’re so good,” said another.
“You have so much class. I love authentic people.”
Others had a different perspective, asking, “Is it racially insensitive? How do you eat fried tortillas? Are they culturally insensitive to the Mexican community?”
Another wrote: ‘I wish you would use your voice to support small businesses and not destroy them.
‘They are a farm with hard-working workers who were not given everything in gifts.’
